In a rapidly evolving scenario such as the LED technology one, the process of developing new products and the innovation and updating of the existing ones for continuous performance improvement, are a crucial element for Cortem Group.
The EVL series of LED lighting fixtures, launched by Cortem Group in 2015 and available in four sizes, has been innovated and enhanced to offer an even safer and more performing product.
All new from Atexxo Manufacturing, the Netherlands. The Apple iPad 10.2 now suitable for use in hazardous locations. The explosion proof iPads are originally manufactured by Apple than converted and certified according to the ATEX directives by Atexxo Manufacturing. This makes the ATEX tablets suited for safe use in gas /vapor zone 2 hazardous areas. (zone 22 on request)
Fully rugged tablet meets stringent ATEX/IECEx standards for use in Zone 2/22 hazardous locations, improving worker safety and productivity in potentially explosive atmospheres
Getac has announced the launch of the new UX10-EX intrinsically safe fully rugged tablet, delivering powerful, reliable computing performance to professionals operating in hazardous environments.
Redbacks Cushioning Limited, developers of the award winning, ‘Leaf-Spring’ cushioning technology offers a range of products to help protect the knees and body from damage caused by kneeling
The Redbacks Pocket Kneepad, specifically designed to fit work trousers, features a flexible leaf-spring held within a thermoplastic honeycomb matrix which unlike foam or gel ensures a high compression rate and 100% recovery to its original shape.
A brand-new range of high visibility protective safety clothing with 50% of the material made from recycled plastic bottles has been introduced by workwear manufacturer Engel Workwear.
Called ‘Safety Light’, each item of clothing can be verified to consist of polyester fibres, ultimately spun from a specific number of plastic bottles to make up 50% of its content. This is combined with 40% cotton and 10% standard polyester (245 g/m2) to produce a cool-to-wear, durable fabric.
The perfect combination of speed sensor and sensor target is crucial for robust and reliable signal detection. In practice, however, it is unfortunately the case that there can be contradictions between a target that is ideal for capturing and a target which is constructive or cost-effective. In these cases, the search for a compromise begins. A solution has to balance the differing goals practically.
In this task, it is of course optimal, if different variants can be reliably and objectively evaluated in a very early development phase. In this case, professional and precise sensor-mapping is a valuable tool.
SICK has released safety-certified versions of its TTK70 and TTK50 magnetic absolute linear encoders with Hiperface° interface, widening the opportunities for accurate, absolute motor feedback systems to be integrated into safe linear drives.
The SICK TTK70S and TTK50S absolute linear encoders with Hiperface® interface are now certified to SIL2 (IEC 61508) and PLd (EN ISO 13849) for safety-related motion supporting SLS (safely-limited speed) safety functions in safe drive controls.

If I was to highlight what I believe to be the key attributes of an ideal IT rack, then (in no particular order) I would suggest it would need to be: easy to order; meet current standards provide a safe environment for servers and other equipment; be modifiable at no great cost; and have an optimum price/performance ratio.
Brady Corporation's new, highly reflective ISO 7010 safety signs greatly increase safety in dark places. The signs reflect twice as much light when lit with a torch or vehicle headlights and can be used both in- and outdoors.
