Expanding JCA appoints Group HSE Manager

Hertfordshire-based principal contractor, JCA, has appointed Jamie McDonald to the new position of Group Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager, as the engineering services-led business continues to expand.

Reporting to Dean Cocklin, JCA’s Director of Engineering, McDonald has responsibility for implementing all HSE policies, practices and procedures, as well as delivering the statutory requirement of providing health and safety advice to the company. (Read More)

Banelec Receive QAN/QAR Accreditation

EMADA Launched to Combat 12,000 Workplace Respiratory Deaths

The Extraction Manufacturers and Designers Association (EMADA) recently hosted its launch event at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

Workplace extraction and ventilation is critical to the health and wellbeing of employees and despite many employers appreciating this position, UK industry is responsible for 12,000 workplace related respiratory deaths every year.

This staggering statistic is also responsible for over 400,000 lost working days every year and there isapproximately 14,000 new workplace breathing or lung related conditions reported every year.
