CML Issues World’s First IECEx Ex s Certification
CML became the world’s first certification body to issue IECEx certification for Ex s ‘Special Protection’, with UK-based client Abtech Limited becoming the first manufacturer to adopt the concept.
Ex s, standard IEC 60079-33, is the IECEx certification basis for products used in explosive atmospheres where those products do not fall completely within the requirements of the existing protection standards. (Read More)

TRADESPEOPLE ARE CONTRIBUTING TO THE GROWING LANDFILL PROBLEM
The trade industry is one of the least green industries
AN OVERWHELMING number of tradespeople are failing to recycle efficiently, according to new research.
The survey of 1,055 British adults carried out by tradeskips.com, found that 73% do not recycle their waste materials in their place of work, compared to 22% who do not at home.
While almost two thirds (65%) claim they would make a conscious effort to recycle if their employer had an incentive, just 19% say they do recycle at work.
8% do not know whether their company has a recycling system in place.
