AmbiRad provides first class cold defence for RAF Northolt

http://www.hazeng.co.uk/images/RAF%20Notholt.jpgWhen it came to specifying a state of the art heating system for the hangars at the new flagship RAF Northolt site, there was only one choice – Nor-Ray-Vac continuous radiant tube heating from AmbiRad. Used extensively across many new and existing RAF sites, it is a proven, highly efficient system that promises considerable cost savings over its lifecycle.

The installation is part of the Ministry of Defence Estate’s Project MoDEL – a massive £180million investment and restructuring scheme to create a world class 21st Century ‘anchor site’ in London.

AmbiRad flies high at Coastguard helicopter hangars

http://www.hazeng.co.uk/images/RYP_09.jpgProviding rapid, targeted response to changing conditions, Nor-Ray-Vac continuous radiant tube heating offered the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) the unique opportunity to maintain a consistent temperature for two of their helicopter hangars.

For the Osprey Hangar situated at Portland, Dorset and the Daedalus Hangar at Lee on Solent, Hampshire, this solution provided the MCA with the best maintenance and storage conditions. Developed by the leader in efficient heating systems, AmbiRad, it meant that even when the vast doors were opened, the primary heat source was not lost.

Forces attracted to fuel savings.

CHP unit or main boiler roomMagnatech Fuel Conditioning Limited have recently completed a contract to install their  very powerful magnetic fuel conditioning units to all structural gas and oil burning equipment across five MOD bases in England. This was after research concluded that Magnatech was the most cost effective provider of this type of application.

The MOD have used this technology previously, when a number of  bases where equipped with  similar units, they calculated payback  within the year,  and now it is reported that  those units are continuing to save much more than their purchase price every year with no maintenance or running costs.  This figure is of course rising as fuel prices soar.

SIMPLE TELESCOPIC STAYS TAKE CARE OF YOUR CABINET DOORS

Telescopic cover stays from EMKATelescopic cover stays from EMKA are used for support of horizontal or vertical covers on control panels, e.g. rooftop air-conditioning cabinets, for support, or simply as a wind stay. Now their new 1097 variants incorporates a facility for manual pushbutton/pull cord operation. Use of a pull cord greatly facilitates operation of widely spaced multiple stays on very wide covers of one metre plus. It also enables simple operation and enhanced safety.

Standard features of the 1097 series include automatic or manual release types in sizes up to the new 710mm (extended length) 1097-U6 version. Automatic release operates when the open cover is raised (to release the locked stay), then closed. Manual release ensures an added level of safety - requiring somebody to physically push the release button or pull the cord for release.
