What motivates you?

A good example is our new series of explosion-proof signal lights.”
What are the latest developments?
Artidor has designed a series of explosion-proof signal lights based on a unique LED module: the AR-046, AR-047, AR-048 and AR-049. “We use the robust technique of molding the electronics. This not only ensures explosion protection, but also makes the electronics insensitive to moisture and salt from the environment. By using a very special polyurethane, we distribute the heat much more effectively, which significantly increases the life of the electronics and the LEDs. The universal module developed has a supply voltage of 24 Volts. Depending on the connection, the lamp lights up continuously or flashes at 1 Hertz.”
AR-046 LED signal tower
The AR-046 signal tower has a nice round shape and up to three LED modules can be mounted on top of each other. Any combination and sequence of red, yellow or green light is possible. The colored lenses ensure that the signal tower can be recognized as such even when the lights are off. By adjusting the power of the various LED modules to the sensitivity of the human eye, the colors are perceived with the same intensity.
The AR-046 has a connection compartment in which customers can connect the cable themselves.
AR-047 and AR-048 LED signal lights
These signal lights consist of a single module with the light color red, yellow or green. Originally developed for use on a helicopter deck, the light fitting is very compact and extremely robust. These variants have a fixed connecting cable to keep the light fitting as low as possible.
The AR-047 is equipped with a special lens, making the light visible from all sides. The light can, for example, be mounted on top of a machine. Wherever you are, you can see the light from any angle. The AR-048 has a different lens, so the light comes out the front.
Both lights are available with a cable connection on the side or on the back of the lamp.
AR-049 Explosion-proof traffic light
By combining a set of three AR-048 signal lights, an explosion-proof traffic light has been created. The sleekly finished stainless steel housing can be expanded with an acoustic signal generator if required. Due to the availability of various adapters and brackets, the traffic light can be easily installed in any situation.
As Marc says enthusiastically, “The four signal lights are already available for use in zones 2 and 22. After completing the certification, we can also offer them for use in zones 1 and 21. This new generation of lamps will be available starting in spring 2022 from stock, in stainless steel or aluminum, and in any color the customer desires. We can’t make everything, but we can make a lot!”
