Stockholm, Sweden, January 24, 2011: Atlas Copco Mafi-Trench LLC, USA, has signed an agreement to acquire the pump business from J.C. Carter LLC, headquartered in California, USA.

Stockholm, Sweden, January 27, 2011: Atlas Copco has won the renowned Good Design award for a new design language for its Chicago Pneumatic brand. The Chicago Pneumatic product range includes industrial and vehicle service tools, construction tools, as well as industrial and portable compressors.

An Atlas Copco VSD compressor, financed through a Carbon Trust loan, is a key element in a major refurbishment programme for UK agricultural equipment manufacturer, Simba International.

At the end of November, in fierce international competition, the new Tensor STR61 pistol grip nutrunner won the prestigious 2010 iF design award. The project manager at Atlas Copco Tools was Göran Johansson and the tool will be presented at the iF award exhibition which runs from March until June 2011.

A new four-boom drill rig developed by Atlas Copco in cooperation with Nordic tunneling contractor, Veidekke, is proving its worth at a major railway project near Gothenburg, Sweden. The rig, named Boomer XE4 C, is a fully computerized unit designed to drill all pre-grout holes as well as blast holes.

Stockholm, Sweden, November 13, 2010: Today Atlas Copco inaugurates a new production facility in China. The new facility will provide assembly and packaging for the Group’s entire range of gas and process turbocompressors and turboexpanders, as well as engineering and aftermarket services.

Atlas Copco launches 3 new desiccant air dryer ranges.These were designed for efficiency with low pressure drops and delayed dryer cycles.  Additionally, high performance and a constant pressure dewpoint -even at full load- are guaranteed under any condition.
